Bollywood actress Manisha Koirala finally married to a Nepali businessman Samrat Dahal in a traditional Nepali style in Katmandu. It was a three day ceremony held at the Gokarna Forest Resort, 10kms east of the capital.
Manisha’s wedding was totally a family affair with only few Bollywood friends. Dressed in yellow saree with red embroided border, Manisha exchanged garland and wedding rings with Samrat.
Traditional Nepali music Panchai Bazaa was played and a cultural dance was held. Nepali, Indian and continental dishes were served at the resort. The three days long ritual will be ended tomorrow when the bride will go the groom’s house after performing hour-long rituals as per the Hindu tradition.
Debuted with Subhash Ghai’s Saudagar, she starred in few successful films like Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s 1942: A Love Story, Mani Ratnam’s Bombay, Dil Se and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Khamoshi. Marriage will not put a full stop to her filmy career, she will continue acting and most likely in Nepali films.
The actress had few unsuccessful relationships in the past but finally her heart mingled with Samrat Dahal.

The world television premiere rights of Hrithik Roshan-starrer “Kites” have been sold to Colors channel within a month of the film’s release. It will be telecast in India, US and Britain June 27.
“We endeavour to bring the biggest Bollywood blockbusters to our viewers, right in the comfort of their homes. With ‘Kites’, we begin a long and potentially fruitful association with Reliance BIG Pictures with whom we have signed a much larger deal and will be showcasing a whole range of popular movies from their library in the days to com”,” Gaurav Gandhi, CEO and head (international business), Viacom18, said in a press release. “Kites”, which also features Mexican actress Barbara Mori, is a love story set against the backdrop of a robbery in a Las Vegas casino. Produced by Rakesh Roshan and distributed by Reliance BIG Pictures, it was among the most awaited films of the year, and released worldwide May 21. Colors has previously premiered films like “Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani” and “Blue” even before the movies were taken off cinema halls.
Hrithik Roshan-Barbara Mori starrer Kites has grossed over Rs.21 crore on its opening day. It has become the second highest opening-day grosser after 3 Idiots, its distributor said on Saturday.
Kites released with 2,000 screens in India and across 500 screens overseas Friday.
The film that has been distributed by Reliance BIG Pictures is a love story between an Indian guy and a Spanish girl.
Kites has also caught the fancy of the American media, making it perhaps the most reviewed Bollywood film on opening day by so many US critics.
